TOPANGASURVIVAL.ORG is a product of the Topanga Emergency Management Planning Program.

This program is a collaboration among the 3rd Supervisorial District, Fire, Law Enforcement, Public Works, the Chief Executive Office, Los Angeles Unified School District and, most important, the Topanga Canyon Community to create an emergency management plan that is tailored and unique to this particular community.  This is a pilot program, the foundation of which will be used to create emergency management plans in other unincoporated areas of Los Angeles County.

Your Topanga Disaster Survival Guide contains a listing of all the Community Safety Areas (CSAs) and Neighborhood Survival Areas (NSAs); however, the listings in the book are the CSAs and NSAs that were in effect at publication time.  The Los Angeles County Fire Department reviews this listing annually to make any appropriate changes.

Please visit the CSAs/NSAs page (tab located above) periodically to view the most current list of viable CSAs and NSAs, and make any necessary corrections to your copies of the Survival Guide.
